Terms of stay

These terms govern your booking at any Galaxy La-Palm Royal Resort property. By completing a reservation through galaxylapalm.com, our staff or any authorised partner, you agree to these terms.

1. Reservations

A reservation is confirmed when you receive a booking number by email or SMS. The rate, taxes, fees, cancellation policy and property rules shown at the time of booking form part of these terms.

2. Payment

We accept payment by card (via Paystack) and by bank transfer to the account specified at checkout. For Paystack-enabled properties, full payment is taken at booking and your room is confirmed instantly. For bank-transfer reservations, your room is held until 4:00 PM on the arrival day unless guaranteed by deposit.

3. Check-in & check-out

Standard check-in is 2:00 PM and check-out is 12:00 PM (some properties differ, see the property page). Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may attract additional charges. Government-issued photo ID is required at check-in.

4. Cancellation & no-show

The cancellation policy specific to your booking is shown at the time of reservation. For most properties, cancellations made at least 24 hours before check-in are refundable; later cancellations and no-shows may be charged one night's rate. Some rates and our Uburu property are non-refundable, this is clearly indicated before you confirm.

5. Occupancy & guests

Maximum occupancy per room must not be exceeded. Visitors are welcome in public areas. Visitors in guest rooms must be registered at the front desk and may be subject to a fee.

6. Property rules

• No smoking inside guest rooms (designated outdoor areas only).
• No outside food or drinks unless previously agreed.
• Pets are not permitted unless arranged in advance.
• Guests are responsible for damage to the property caused by themselves or their visitors.
• Management may refuse service to anyone violating hotel policies.

7. Liability

Use of our facilities, including pool, gym, spa, lounge and event halls, is at your own risk. We are not liable for valuables not deposited in the in-room safe or front-desk safe. Our liability for any loss arising from a stay is limited to the amount paid for that stay, except where law forbids such limitation.

8. Galaxy Elite Rewards

Loyalty terms are in addition to these terms. Points earn 3% – 7% of the room amount paid depending on tier, are non-transferable, have no cash value and may be revoked if obtained fraudulently. Tier benefits are subject to availability.

9. Force majeure

We are not liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of government, civil unrest, fire, flood, pandemic, telecommunications failure or strike action.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Rivers State, save that we may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
